Schenk Buchverlag Campus Dialog (Passau, Germany; Pécs & Budapest, Hungary) published the monograph entitled “Cytolytic Immune Lymphocytes…”. The volume encompasses the interactions of pathogens (viruses, bacteria, uni- and multicellular pathogens) and cancer cells with their hosts in terms of mutually exerted genetic pressures resulting in innate and adaptive immune reactions of the hosts and, in response, immuno-evasive maneuvers of the pathogens and the malignant cells. These rapidly evolving fields require periodical up-dating. This article reviews newer developments in oncolytic virus therapy of human cancer; and some newer events emerging in the fields of human cancer immunology and immunotherapy.
